Storytelling holds incredible power.
My fascination with the art of storytelling began at the tender age of five, imprinting cherished memories of a childhood enriched by stories. Those early moments ignited a realization of life's boundless possibilities, expanding my world and fostering a deep-seated passion for storytelling.
Through the years, I've woven tales using various mediums—words, song, music, and performance. My focus primarily revolves around writing, acting, and championing the rights of undocumented immigrants.
My academic journey took me through the Cab Calloway School of the Arts where I focused on classical piano studies and the University of Delaware, where I earned a bachelor's degree in writing, journalism, and theater. A pivotal experience unfolded at the National Theater Institute (NTI) during my last semester of university, where I honed my skills in acting, writing, and directing, courtesy of the Lin Manuel-Miranda Family Scholarship Award.
I founded UndocumentedStudent.com during my college years. This project was devoted to providing resources to undocumented students in my college in their quest for higher education as well as telling the amazing stories of students from Wesleyan, Harvard, and Delaware State University who were able to successfully apply to and attend college. Though no longer active, the project continues to inspire and inform my ongoing commitment to advocacy for immigration and community engagement.
